Ok, this is going to be a very long winded post, so I apologise in advance. If you can’t stay with me until end, thanks for dropping in… my new name is NYOMA! Sage & Stone was born on a cold February day in 2021. We’d weathered the storm of the pandemic, and I’d come out the other side with a newborn baby to add to our already busy family of four, a clearer vision of my life’s path, and a reborn passion and enthusiasm for the power of crystals. I remember telling my community midwife when Delilah was just hours old, I had decided that when the lockdown was lifted, I was not going to go back to baby photography, I wanted to help other women like me to discover the power of working with crystals, and how to promote better physical and mental health by utilising and weaving their magic. It wasn’t until my baby was 6 months old and we moved to a beautiful home in the woods, that my ideas started to piece together and, as happens when you’re spiritually aligned, doors began to open left and right to make my way forward so natural.

On a winter walk across a barren barley field, my friend Zoe helped me come up with the name. Sage - because I had the wisdom of the stones to impart. Stone because… well. You get the idea. After a fast and heady three years selling and advising online, I made the decision to put Sage & Stone down for a while, until I could find a suitable premises to have a physical shop. I missed the human connection that I felt was essential. In January 2024, I began the process of manifesting my physical shop space. And in July 2024 the perfect space appeared. I needed a name.. and nothing felt right, so I asked everyone for their ideas. Unanimously they cried out for Sage & Stone. It felt like putting on a previously shed skin, but since nothing else felt relatable, I went with it. I’ve been in the shop now for four glorious weeks. And I’ve now felt the space out and enjoyed getting to know my lovely customers. The human connection is so special and it was worth waiting for. And the new name reflects the feel of the space - NYOMA, meaning ‘New Moon’. A time for renewal & rebirth and full of promise of what’s still to come.
